Ask HN: Do you read companies’ engineering blogs? What are the best ones?

Here's a list that I use frequently when I'm looking for something to read: https://github.com/kilimchoi/engineering-blogs

Here's a list I made a while ago:

I think it's better to follow a news aggregator. Most corporate engineering blogs include a lot of marketing and fluff pieces which aren't interesting. Anything interesting will generally get posted here or on reddit.

When they get posts on HN.

The best ones are the ones that don’t have a lame call to action in every post.

I think a call to action can be great but when it is ‘see how nerdy we are about graphics file formats don’t you wanna hire martians to solve some problem that has nothing to do with this blog post’ you should skip the CTA or write a better one.

Only when they make it to HN, and a hard pass when I realize it's a retrospective post where they try to rationalize a switch to some new tech because their developers were bored and now they want everyone else to do the same so they aren't out there fielding the risk by themselves.
