How was the Soviet STRELA computer designed to function during a nuclear winter?

It's interesting that now we have museums which show alternative solutions in computation technology, which faded away with times and lost markets to what became standard. Later we may have museums demonstrating similarly alternative solutions in space technology - if Russia would continue its slide, this area will too slowly dissipate.
